BAUWERT AG is launching ‘Moaville Now’, an arts and events programme as an interim cultural activation of its new urban quarter Moaville at Neues Ufer in Berlin-Moabit. Prior to the commencement of the actual development works, the site will be opened to public events and activated at an early stage.

BAUWERT AG is launching sales today for the KAI residential ensemble on the Stralau peninsula in Berlin’s Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg district. Following the building permit granted in March 2026, marketing of the condominiums is now underway on the last available waterfront plot on Stralau. Three high-quality residential buildings with a total of 41 condominiums will be constructed on the approximately 3,200 m² site at Tunnelstraße 41–42.

The new Segelflieger Quartier Berlin is visibly taking shape: shortly before Christmas, on December 15, 2025, the first two building permits were granted. Today, BAUWERT AG is already beginning excavation work for the foundations of the first two residential buildings, named Arthur and Thekla. This marks the start of the structural realization of one of Berlin’s largest urban development projects, which will be built on the historic site of Germany’s first motor airfield.

As the first project developer on the approximately 21-hectare site, BAUWERT AG is thus setting the stage for the new Segelflieger Quartier in Berlin-Johannisthal/Adlershof and, as the first company, giving this forward-looking neighborhood its identity.

BAUWERT AG reports further significant progress in the construction of its residential project “Das Rheingau” in Berlin’s Friedenau district. Construction officially began on July 10, 2025, with the excavation of the building pit. On October 23, 2025, the excavation was handed over to the structural construction team as scheduled, and this week the tower crane was erected. This marks the start of the visible superstructure phase, during which the new apartment building will gradually take shape over the coming months.

The rapid construction progress highlights the quality of BAUWERT’s projects in a challenging market environment. Pre-sales for the 69 condominiums have already exceeded 25%, a clear indication of the strong appeal of the location in the Friedenau neighborhood.

With a ceremonial groundbreaking, the next phase of one of Berlin’s largest neighborhood developments begins today: the new Segelflieger Quartier Berlin in Johannisthal/Adlershof. As the first project developer on the 21-hectare site, BAUWERT AG will begin construction of the two residential projects Arthur (146 rental apartments) and Thekla (36 rental apartments) as early as the end of this year.

In addition to the full executive board of BAUWERT AG, the ceremony was attended by Berlin’s Governing Mayor, Kai Wegner; the Senator for Urban Development, Building and Housing, Christian Gaebler; and Treptow-Köpenick’s District Mayor, Oliver Igel. In a subsequent panel discussion, project partners including WISTA, degewo, as well as the architectural firms gmp Architekten and Stefan Forster Architekten also shared their perspectives.

Today, Thursday, BAUWERT AG celebrated the topping-out ceremony for the urban development project “Die Neue Bockbrauerei” in Berlin-Kreuzberg, in the presence of numerous high-ranking guests.

Around 200 invited guests attended the ceremonial event – among them were the Senator for Finance, Stefan Evers, the Senator for the Interior and Sport, Iris Spranger, as well as Martina Klement, Chief Digital Officer of the State of Berlin and State Secretary for Digitalisation and Administrative Modernisation.

Also present were Karin Klingen, President of the Berlin Court of Auditors, Birgit Möhring, Managing Director of BIM Berliner Immobilienmanagement GmbH, Alf Aleithe, Managing Director of Berlinovo Immobilien Gesellschaft mbH, and the architects Frank Kulawig and Sergei Tchoban.

BAUWERT AG has acquired the property at Tunnelstrasse 41-42 on the Stralau peninsula in Berlin-Friedrichshain. The approximately 3,200 m² site is located directly on the waterfront and has a jetty with 80 boat moorings. The Stralau peninsula, in the direct centre between the popular neighbourhoods of Friedrichshain and Kreuzberg, as well as the Media-Spree, combines nature, history and attractive residential areas and is one of the most sought-after locations in the capital.

BAUWERT AG launches sales for Das Rheingau, an elegant residential ensemble in Berlin-Friedenau. BAUWERT AG has sold a residential building from its project development ‘Die Neue Bockbrauerei’ in Berlin-Kreuzberg to the state-owned berlinovo as part of a forward deal. The building has a residential and usable area of around 3,460 m² and comprises a total of 25 subsidised flats, 50 flats for employees of the state of Berlin and commercial space on the ground floor. BAUWERT had already sold the striking 10,500 m² office building in this neighbourhood development to the state-owned Berliner Bodenfonds GmbH in November 2024. Completion of the residential and commercial space is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2026.

In the historic centre of Hohen Neuendorf, BAUWERT AG is constructing a total of 7,800 square metres of space on Wildbergplatz by the second quarter of 2027, divided into seven buildings with a total of 74 privately financed rental apartments and a commercial building with four to eight flexibly adaptable commercial units for an urban neighbourhood community.

BAUWERT AG has sold the striking 10,500 sqm office building from its ‘Neue Bockbrauerei’ development in Berlin-Kreuzberg to the state-owned Berliner Bodenfonds GmbH, thus securing long-term tenure for the state administration apparatus of Berlin. The office building, which will meet the latest energy standards, including DGNB Gold Standard certification, will become part of a diverse urban district and is scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of 2026.

On 8 October, the Mitte district authority in Berlin approved development plan 1-118 Neues Ufer. The planned project by BAUWERT Neues Ufer GmbH, a wholly owned subsidiary of Berlin-based BAUWERT AG, involves the transformation of a former industrial area into a vibrant urban quarter with a balanced mix of residential, commercial and community spaces, including a kindergarten and creative and digital workspaces.

On 11 September 2024, the State of Berlin and BAUWERT inaugurated one of the capital’s largest urban development projects: the Segelflieger Quartier Berlin in Johannisthal/Adlershof.

Berliner Sparkasse now has a new home in Johannisthal/Adlershof. Ready to move in earlier: BAUWERT has completed the exclusive LIV residential complex six months ahead of schedule. The complex in the Nordic Quarter on the border between Pankow and Prenzlauer Berg has a net floor space of around 8,524 square metres. All 99 apartments have already been handed over to the asset manager Quantum.

The Annual General Meeting of BAUWERT has appointed Hans-Jürgen Kulartz as a new member of the Supervisory Board with effect from 1 July 2024. The 65-year-old corporate and real estate expert, who has excellent connections in Berlin’s business community, was previously a member of the Management Board of Landesbank Berlin and Berliner Sparkasse for 24 years.

With a partial reorganisation, the strengthening of the second management level and several new appointments, BAUWERT is continuing on its course of growth.

BAUWERT has sold the last penthouse in the Maison Roseneck project on Marienbader Strasse in Berlin-Schmargendorf. This means that all 47 apartments in the recently completed complex have now been handed over.
